Not sure about this year, but in the past few years Schache/Cordy tended to have the highest km games when playing forward. Never when they were playing back.
Gardner regularly posts high 90s/100% TOG.

The running is likely a massive reason why L. Young wasn't preferred over time.

Gardner ran 15km on Saturday night playing 100% game time. Lewie ran 14.5km for Carlton on Sunday and also played 100% game time.

Anyway still think it's strange the differences in game time given the defenders often run more (maybe slightly lower intensity) than the forwards.

It would be interesting to understand how fast they ran their respective KMs, and which game was more intense for defenders given we had a lot of time in our half on Saturday and Melbourne's large amount of scoring from centre clearances.

Lewis may have improved in that space. Or maybe just wasn't preferred for any other nominal reason of the journey.
