I wouldn't want to play cards against Sam Power as you would never know by his expressions or body language what cards he was playing
I like having Sam driving our trade moves.

Re: List Management thread (For 2022)
Is the question do we cut deep enough or is the question do we cut quick enough or another question entirely?
Taking TBB list on face value looks fairly average but on the flip side if BAD is saying we do cut (and he will share the list) is the real question are we drafting the right players and developing talent?
More of an In Bruges guy?

We should never have had Martin for so long on the list. Disappointing we don't have enough rucks and KPB developing, but otherwise we have tried to recruit wings and HBF, and small forwards.
Remember guys like Butler, Bendendo, Garcia, etc are all 3rd, 4th rounders so it is a risk. All our first rounders over the Bevo period have been excellent.
McComb, Parker, Raak, Buku are all rookies
From Memory, 2020 we had around 12 players come off the list. How many do you want to be delisted every year?
So in answer to your question, rucks and KPP are players we need to bring in for the future.

Our father son players could thin by 2 this year. Not sure why Zaine is keen to move given he doesn't miss a lot of games but it could open a spot for us.

I've been saying for a while we just retain marginal players for a bit longer than we should ie bringing back Hayes but some like Roarke Smith have worked out.
Not bringing in someone to cover for Bruce was a mistake as was not bringing in someone to replace Martin.

Missed 9 this year , playing VFL, so may see the writing on the wall. Still only 26 years old

Re: List Management thread (For 2022)
Zaine’s had a blessed tenure with us. Unlikely to have played as many games elsewhere due to lack of KPD depth.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

2021 - 6
2020 - 12
2019 - 5
2018 - 10
2017- 9
2016- 7
2015 - 8
total - 57
Yes always players that we may hold on to one year too long - but that is a matter of opinion.

I believe when you brought this up last time there were asterix's against a few of those numbers with rookies being elevated etc. I'd be interested in how many players we've drafted that weren't rookies being elevated

Tell you the truth Hujsh, I can't be bothered.
People keep saying we don't cut deep enough, but how deep is deep?
Of the 40 odd on your list, you can't have them all being stars and getting 30 disposals per week. Some have a role to play, some are pure backup and soldiers.
However, as I said, we need young rucks and KPP developing on the list, and that is the area I would critic.
