I can only go by people I know that follow the Crows and they are pretty scathing.
Having said that if it's a cheap get he might be ok as depth.

Don’t we already have enough depth for the role of a small forward?

So is Rowe actually. He's basically Andrew Hooper but in Adelaide.
Throw the sink at Junior Rioli. If you're gonna do a job do it properly.

Depth yes, but who among them are actually a crumbing forward? Most are not natural goalkickers. Garcia, McNeil, West are all up the ground types playing a pressure role, Weightman is a natural goalkicker but not really a crumber. Getting a quick, clever forward who can generate goals from loose balls would be great, I'm just not sure Rowe is the best available.
I should leave it alone but you're not right

Agree. We have enough list cloggers. If we are serious, we will go hell for leather on a small fwd, IF we see it as a need.
Just as I hope we are going hard for QUALITY BEST 22 defenders.
I will never see #16 the same!!

So our ideal wishlist is
Lobb (locked in)
A crumbing forward (Rioli)
A quality key defender (???)
Liam Jones (locked in)

Junior is excellent as a high forward he's more than a crumb forward but yeah, a fleet-footed, smart small forward like Junior would be dope.

Having more strings to a bow certainly doesn't hurt

Do we even have one on the list? I don't think we do.

We do and I'd want to be convinced Rowe is an upgrade. If we are going to play 3 or 4 tall forwards next season the ball will spill to the ground a bit and a good crumber could be exactly what we need. I'm just not sure Rowe is good enough.

He’s not.
I want a small crumbing fwd that gives fear to the opposition…makes them think about bringing ball to ground, just like guys like Pickett, Cameron, Liam Ryan etc. we don’t have a player like that. Maybe Arthur Jones is the guy we “hope” gets there, but he’s nowhere near best 22 from what I’ve read on here.
I will never see #16 the same!!

Pickett is a small forward.
Cameron is a leading forward who is at his best when 1v1 in space.
Ryan is a leading forward who wants to sit on blokes shoulders - he DOES get up to half back and has good continuation in his game and provides a dangerous link option through the mid/forward area.
Arthur Jones is an outside mid/high-half forward.
This is hard. I mean Brisbane have Cameron and McCarthy but their 'best' crumbing small is probably Bailey who they don't want to play there because he kicks it so well inside 50m...The balance of that Lions side is all messed up and they will never win unless they do something about it (but that's off topic).
Small forwards who MIGHT be available:
Bobby Hill
Izak Rankine
Shane McAdam
Michael Walters
(Maybe) Joel Jeffrey (though he has Charlie Cameron tendancies).
(Maybe) Josh Honey (though he seems more a link-er than a crumber).
...and yes, James Rowe. I don't think he's terrible but I don't see Bevo playing another permanent small forward who can't/wont go up and contribute with mid rotations...
Here's an idea. Tell Cody to stop trying to compete in the air against Naughton and get to the front of the contest?
What should I tell her? She's going to ask.

Is there anyone at Footscray that we might consider late in the draft?

At one stage when his hair was a bit longer, my mate and I called him Mini me (Naughton)
I think we said this last year about how he tries the big speccy all the time.
