Just happy to have got that win. Must consolidate now next week against the Hawks back at home next Friday.

I honestly think Bruce needs another week at VFL level at least. I don’t mind playing Sweet, but I feel like the idea of Sweet has overtaken the reality of the player. He effectively halved the ruck contests with Alex Mirkov last night.

The Bont going into the middle really made a difference as well.
If we can get him into a groove of being able to play there regularly we'll be a show for improving our form.

Agree, Bruce not ready at this stage, Sweet along way off

I think Sweet has value, but English is a far more complete footballer. Those deep intercept marks were worth their weight in gold.

I am not writing Sweet off, all I am saying is he is not ready

Well, what can I say? I don't think I've ever seen us make so many schoolboy errors. Missed handballs, missed tackles, fumbles, poor marking, confusion - you name it, we did it.
It was an underwhelming last quarter. 31 points up, everything to play for and we were just so easy to score against. Just frustrating, so totally frustrating.
We had some great individual performances from Weightman Naughton, Jacko, Libba and Bailey Dale. Maybe, I'm expecting too much from this team. Then again maybe this game will be a turning point and we'll put a string of wins together and go into the finals with momentum and chock full of swagger and self belief. That's what I want.

I’m going to the GABBA for the Brisbane game so hopefully we can keep our season alive next week with a good win over the Hawks. Just did enough tonight to get the points in a strange very open game.

I don't think anyone is.
It's just been necessary.

In the middle quarters Schache was noticeably moving between the arcs very efficiently, whereby he was helping defence and quickly getting forward and I think this was important for us and balancing our numbers.

I would keep him in, he needs to play a few games.
I thought the three talls in the forward line balanced by West, Weightman really stretched GWS

I'd maintain it for the next two weeks while Bruce ramps up, and it's then up to JUH and Schache to claim the other spot.

Schache got better in the second half, but geez, someone teach him how to throw some physicality in the contests. He got out rucked by Green at one stage.
