We probably don't need him especially with Bruce coming back from his injury but he could still offer something for a team over the next 2 years.
    Taylor Walker?

I'd rather bring back Danny Delre

.......and yes I get we got rid of Stringer and Dahl, and almost got rid of a few more but the guys who stayed could actually play a part in making sure he pulls his head in. He might be a guy who thrives in the secondary Melbourne environment rather than the big four or whatever it is now type environment.

We need a natural forward of his size and ability.
    Jordan De Goey?

    I'd rather Jesse Stringer!

English, Marshall and Cameron have signed deals. I wonder if the speculation about the money being offered for Jackson is spooking clubs into getting their ruck man signed.

I wonder if clubs are cautious as they see what has happened with Grundy and how its impacted the Salary cap of Collingwood, as a result have to offload players .

Maybe, but all those guys are also good as hell (even Cameron don't believe what some people were saying in the Collingwood game day thread). Doubt they weren't priorities.

One thing I agree with Kane Cornes, he doesn't like long term contracts. I think 3 years is about right.

5 years for exceptional talents such as Naughton and Bontempelli. That would be my ceiling

It's tough, I agree. Those 5 year deals can kill you. Market might be saying 5 years so sometimes we have to if you want to keep that player.

FWIW I was stoked we got Macrae at 5 years, would we say the same if say Dunkely was signed on for the same?

Macrae? I was pretty happy to lock him down for that length of time.

You are right, the market determines it. Another club could go 5, or like Dahlhaus. We offered 3 and Geelong went 4.

Dahlhaus. My son was talking about him today, he's still upset that he left. We dodged a bullet there.
