Seriously I do have faith in Power but I can't see us squeezing a thing out of the Lions. We'll be stuck with some bum that can't get a game and a 1st in 2023 and maybe a 2nd in this draft if they can afford it.
You'd expect the half decent footy journos are hitting the phones trying to work out who we are doing medical/s on (assuming we are demanding a player with the Future First). With the poor optics of the trade period so far for us, you'd think we'd be putting something out with some friendly journo's about our proactivity at a minimum.

By my calculations Brisbane have picks

    21, 25, 34, 35, 36 = 3200

that might be enough for Ashcroft & Fletcher. They still have the option of trading pick 21 and/or the others for more points or a spare draft pick.

There's no pressure on the Lions to get a deal done.

They just offer something and wait.

We will fold, there's no way we would force Dunkley into the PSD there's too much love there.

It will end up being a future first and future second with something of ours going back this year to help with FS.

As for Jones it's a massive risk.

This is pretty massive when you think about it a bit.

    I hope you are right.

I was going alright, but all this talk about Schache being like a new signing has me a bit rattled about how bad we are actually going haha

How bad are we actually going?

Explain it to chef in terms he gets please Doc.

Chef it's like you had a macaroon recipe that you've used consistently for the last 18 months and whilst it did the job it wasn't your A grade roon.

Then you receive an Armoire from the biscuit nazi which contains the recipes to a very very good Macaroon from two years ago.

    It's really quite obvious.

I agree Doc, It's Jones for Cordy, Lade for nothing and we are in a holding pattern for Dunkley and Lobb.

We don't need to assume the worst.

Nah, we can. We're losing our B+F for what now seems like it's going to be serious unders. We've lost a Premiership player who is a F/S and potentially another. Our only target, Lobb, is being held against his will and we signed a 31yr old who's been out of the game for 12 months. When you put it altogether it doesn't look like anything to be excited about G.

Lade may be the best signing we do.

I think everyone agrees we need improvement in the coaching ranks and adding experience like Lade may make a bigger difference than any player we could add.

    Fingers crossed BJ.

Hopefully we can add some more experience.

Could they do a deal with Freo involving a player they want and Lobb to us?
