I think there's more chance of Pauline Hanson being appointed our NGA manager than Grundy being at the dogs next year.
True but it would be tempting. That would be a formidable ruck/ fwd set up with both in the team. Even though we are backing English to be our #1 ruck we would silly not to at least enquire about his situation.

Re: Early Trade Rumours for 2022
Much like the Treloar acquisition I think it would be getting sucked in by the whole sales tactic of buying something you don't need because "look how much we saved".
Grundy would make us better, but honestly I think Lobb and English will have similiar results (and not even convinced he is that much of an upgrade on just having English), and better allows us to target our actual needs with the remaining salary cap/draft capital.
I should leave it alone but you're not right

We appear to be really invested in English as our number one ruck so I can't see us making a significant investment, even with some help from the Pies, in effectively moving English to a forward ruck role.
We ideally need someone better than we have to assist Tim more than take over from him.

He's an A-grader and I'd take him for sure.
Treloar has been good for us. What we paid in trade and are paying in salary cap is a good buy and he's been worth it. I'm glad we did that deal and would bite the Pies hand off for a similar with Grundy. I don't see it happening but, also, never say never.
KPD is a bigger priority, sure, but we would just need to get both done.

Getting Grundy and playing him CHB would be such a Bevo thing to do.

I'd play him forward and push Naughton back and Gardiner into the ruck. Schache wing and Hunter to back pocket.

Re: Early Trade Rumours for 2022
Our interest in Jones is gathering plenty of attention.
While I'm cautious of adding a vaccine hesitant player the fact that he fits a need and we don't have to lose a pick to get him I think makes him a great target for us.

If I was gonna push someone back it would be Bruce. Easier on his knee and started out as a defender.

If only we could’ve grabbed him in the mid season draft and he could line up this weekend.

I think at his size and marking capabilities he would make a good forward.
