I'd only look to bring in another ready made midfielder if two first choice midfielders left.

Seems a waste of time to bring in another mid that doesn't play a different role. Garcia and McLean, though not reliable to be fit, are more the type of players better suited to be that midfield depth since they can play other roles.

Surely our focus/salary would be better placed in different areas of the ground? Any of a lockdown small defender, crumbing pressure forward, specialist wingman and of course key defender would be more urgent areas of need IMO. And since there are 4 positions I could name without much thought (maybe I've even missed some) I think we can make do with just the 5 A-grade quality midfielders. Different instructions/mindset may be required but the quality is there.
