    I'm expecting Carlton to finish in the top 8 next year... they have talent & depth across the ground and barring an injury crisis they will be one of the better teams.

    Yeah, I can't see them missing out. Maybe a little thin with tall defenders but pretty top notch everywhere else. I think I could talk myself into them being top 6 easier than I could not making the eight.

    On balance they should make the finals - but this is Carlton. They missed last year after a choke in the 38th minute of the 4th quarter in the second last round, then coughed up a 40+ point lead in the final round.

    I don't think we should ever underestimate their capacity to screw up. Great on paper, but need a lot to go right to be competitive.
