I was just saying I was happy with the Lade appointment because he was well credentialled as a player. Also, he now has substantial assistant coaching experience, which adds to my feelings of satisfaction with the club's choice.

AFL is a pretty conservative league. Plenty of leagues that are huge overseas that have coaches who have not played at the highest leave. We are pretty reductive about it.

I think it's a bit of a cycle. I don't agree with your views but perhaps many players do. Like IF you are being ignorant but enough players share the same view (i.e you gotta play AFL for me to listen), then I guess being wrong is right.

Is there any chance/talk we are going to get a goal kicking coach and/or fwd line coach as well ?

Just asking, as I would like to see some improvement in these areas

They might be able to bring in a part time goal kicking coach providing there are some coaches who can teach it.

Shouldn't be issue. Scarlett is a realist, it was a long time ago, not sure how emotionally connected he is / was with Bmac and we'll pay in real money!

Players and coaches understand that things move on quickly and with some limited options if you don't want to move interstate then you won't hold grudges.

I wonder or Tory Dickson has any coaching ambitions and if he has the skills to teach a few of our boys how to improve their set shot goal kicking accuracy? A 10% improvement in accuracy from Naughton, Marra and Weightman would be huge for the club.

GWS have signed Ben Hart and in talks with Brett Montgomery (who some have floated to return here).

Apparently we beat out GWS for Lade's signature (Kingsley a former teammate of Lade and Monty).

Matthew Scarlett has joined Barwon Heads as an assistant coach for those who were keen on bringing him back to the dogs.
