Re: Experienced Senior Assistant Coach to help Bevo - Who?

    Happy about this.

Is it interesting that he's basically midfield coach with Webb now looking after stoppages? Sounds like a similar set-up that we had when with Joel Corey?

Does it indicate we could still appoint a 'senior assistant'?

It doesn't say Lade is the senior assistant but would it be strange for him to take a step backwards after being the senior assistant at St Kilda? Particularly as he has senior coaching aspirations having applied for the Essendon job.

I’d say in our set up in particular that the person charged with looking after the mids is the senior assistant.

I am actually happy with this. Hopefully as maybe a top 5 tap ruckman of the last 25 years he teaches Tim how to win a hit out as well as doing his normal job.

One more year but hearing potentially in a new role, possibly back to development. I’ve been told we’re still looking for more coaches.

I think development is a great role for Bubba. Seems to fit his personality and skillset really well.

Would love Matt Boyd or similar for backline coach, and replace Spangher with someone experienced with coaching a modern forward line.

Currently listening to Brenton Sanderson on AFL Trade Radio who was recently appointed as coach of Balwyn following Eade's departure.

It seems strange to me that someone with his level of experience and expertise has been lost to the AFL. We could do worse than appointing him as our backline coach.

He is also good at strategy. I enjoy listening to him on Thursdays when he does the analysis of upcoming games.

Surely we can talk to him. Did Bevo coach at Collingwood at the same time as Sanderson?

He also just floated Rayner for Dunkley on TR.

Get this man the Brisbane coaching gig.

Good to see Webb with the stoppages. Players really like him and he is very highly regarded in WA football. At least he now has a full pre season to prepare.

It's a shame he's not with one of the clubs. He has a balanced view and would be excellent with everyone in the playing group.

Heard roughly the same. That would really strengthen our coaching team.

Left field - would be happy to have Joel Selwood involved in the club if he is looking to coach.
