Re: Experienced Senior Assistant Coach to help Bevo - Who?

    From AFL website:

Lade pondered a move to the Giants.
Brendon Lade said he gave serious consideration to following great mate Adam Kingsley to Greater Western Sydney before accepting a job as an assistant coach with the Western Bulldogs.

Lade, who played many of his 234 games at Port Adelaide alongside Kingsley, has coached at Richmond, Port and most recently St Kilda before his latest move.

Speaking on AFL Trade Radio on Friday morning, the 46-year-old said it was a family decision to remain in Melbourne, but not an easy one.

"We said no initially," Lade told AFL.com.au's Sarah Olle and Josh Gabelich.

"We sat on it for two weeks and did the pros and cons. My young fella is about to enter Year 12 at school in Melbourne next year and that was a big reason why.

"We just didn't know what it looked like, us being apart as a family, for a whole year. And what happens after that year as well.

"As much as I really wanted to go and help Adam and be part of his coaching journey, it just wasn't meant to be at that stage. It doesn't mean it won't be in the future."

Lade also presented for the Essendon senior coach position that was won by Brad Scott, but said he was excited about the prospect of working as Luke Beveridge's midfield coach in 2023. - Michael Whiting

I am not fussed that he openly states this about future possibilities, open, honest and loyal and proomises to be a great acquisition.
I like he states he "was excited about the prospect of working as Luke Beveridge's midfield coach". A professional of high order it seems with leadership skills.

What about David Noble to slot into Maple's role?

He would be over qualified wouldn't he? He could handle Chris Grants role.
I'd take him if that is something he would consider.

I was somewhat hopeful that we could get Brenton Sanderson across to the Dogs as a coach (wishful thinking) but I see he has taken a role as director of sports at Mentone Grammer.

He's impressive. I don't think he would be interested but would be a great addition to the off field support team.

Mark McVeigh has decided not to stick with GWS.
You would have to think he could end up at Essendon.

Why not coach his cousin Lachie Hunter, assuming that’s not Essendon. If so, then Essendon.

Might get the best out of him? Good family support, and teacher.

Sure does plus he is excellent with his analysis. Players would respond well to his words.
