My Melbourne mate was scared we would use Lobb behind the ball. Apparently Lobb played a good game against Melbourne last year in that sort of role for parts of the game.

It's not over yet but yeah, this is disappointing that we're not taking advantage especially considering we're pretty much full strength. I just don't think we're good enough, I don't see much change in our style of play and it looks so similar to 2022. Round 1 and all but doesn't full me with promise.

Bruce has been very good down back not sure what you're seeing other than an errant kick.

It’s a dual ruck combination. It’s Gawn/Grundy and together they changed the game, even if you add in Lobb and Darcy with English.
