To anyone going, under no circumstances give into temptation and jump the fence to snot Greene.

Easy one for me. I?m a republican at heart. I think Charles seems like nice bloke and like his passion for environmental matters though. If King Charles followed a AFL team it would have to be one with royal colours and a British bulldog. Surely a good omen for the outcome.

My wife is having a coronation party.

    Yes she's English.

My house is covered with bunting.

I'm no royalist, I'm a huge history buff however so on that front im insanely interested.

Will they show the anointing! I hope not personally.

We will have a footy room and a coronation room, my nephew and I will be not moving from the former often.

So footy wins over history xD

I don't have a dog in the fight, I suppose I'm nominally a republican and I have no understanding of how an anachronistic archaism still holds such sway, but there's no denying watching the royal family is like staring at "The Kramer".

Nick Cave had a great response when someone asked him why he's going to the coronation. It's well worth the read.

Anyway, Dogs by 13. Bont BOG, first goal Arty Jones.

I think I'd rather drink bleach than watch anything royal related unless it's a revolutionary uprising to depose them

    Been done a few times

The Romanovs and their kids met a pretty yuk ending at the hands of the Bolsheviks.

I don't understand the place of the Monarchy these days especially here.

In England, I've seen how it can lift spirits and unite people in difficult times which is a positive.

Historically I'm fascinated. Westminster Abbey is one of my favourite places for that reason think I've been in there 5 times. Some of the tombs wow.

Durham is my all time favourite church/abbey/cathedral.

Anyway don't drink bleach unless of course you have the spicey cough.

Yeah that was mostly pretty awesome. Mostly part being the kids wouldn't have done anything too bad (yet).

The Celtic crowd let everyone know what they thought of the Coronation. Bit of a laugh.

Then the reds weren't much better see the Katyn Forest massacre.

    Humans are the problem.

Have we heard if Toby Greene is pulling the plug yet?

At the risk of interrupting the royals discussion,

    Meanwhile back at the footy:

    Dogs by five points

    First Goal: Cody

    Best on ground: Adz

Most governments of any significant size have been also been murder machines at one point or another in modern history I'd imagine.
