Re: Predictions first 5 rounds - How many wins

I went 2 wins - Saints and Lions.

As soon as the fixture dropped it appeared a very very tough start to the year.

Nothing has changed my mind and I wouldn't be surprised to see us one and four.

Five. Dees all hate each other and are irredeemably busted, Saints suck, Lions will be bored to death by Dunk’s chat on the plane over, Tigers suck, Power suck.

    Light work.

0 and 5 and the naysayers naying.

That's a tough start, I reckon Saints and Lions we will win. Melbourne too.

Tigers we never beat, Port will be hard at home.

    3-2.

Ever the optimist I went with 5, but could easily drop a few.

    I can't see 5-0 or 0-5 being likely.

2-3 or 3-2 the most probable for mine but hoping for 4-1. 1-4 would be disappointing after the positivity of pre-season.

Where is the option for 0 wins for Dog God?

I chose 3 wins;St Kilda, Richmond and Port - I don't 'trust' them to perform. They might, but you couldn't bank on it.

Melbourne are having an incredible pre-season and the Lions look primed. They worry me

We've been poor starters for a while [bar '21 but 3 of those were v teams finishing bottom 3] so Im going 2. Saints, port. Dees and lions look pretty strong and we're often ordinary v tigers, but could maybe snatch the tigers one.

So the stats so far a classic bell curve wirh my 3 as the most frequent.
Tough start but we will get better and our fitness will hopefully peak just before finals.

One win, because forming new chemistry takes time but more pressingly, how on earth can you trust us?

I went with 5, why not. If there is ever a time to be optimistic it's in Feb!

Melb- They are due for a shocking season.
Saints- If we can't beat them pack it up.
Lions- Us against Dunks at home, we'll win
Tigers- Too old too slow. Bolton scares me though.
Port- We've just won 4 in a row to start the season, we aren't stopping now!!
They've done studies you know, 60% of the time, it works every time!

I think we are 3 wins perhaps 4 in the first 5 weeks. Great platform to build upon.

Re: Predictions first 5 rounds - How many wins

So I actually had a proper look at the draw. In the first six rounds we cop:

    - 4 finals teams, 2 top 4 teams from last year
    - a 5 day break in round 3 against Brisbane
    - both of Richmond and Melbourne at the MCG
    - an away game against Port in Gather Round when everyone else gets a neutral game (or the Crows which is even softer)
    - a 6 day break before Freo in Perth, coming between consecutive interstate trips

What the hell. Whose dog did we run over?

Re: Predictions first 5 rounds - How many wins

    1 is a disaster.
2 sets us up to be sneak into the 8 again.
3 says bottom half of the 8, but comfortably.
    4 or 5 says top 4.

I think 2 or 3 is most likely, but it's a tough start to the year.
