    Robbo's Top 50 - Preseason 2023

Does anyone who subscribes to the HUN want to post this year's preseason list? Apparently it's Kurnow, Petracca, Bont and Cripps top four.

Probably only Libba stiff not to make the list... feel he had a much more influential year than Macrae in 2022 and is set to do so again this year, but Macrae's weight of number seduces many in the media.

Agree, based on last year when compared to Macrae I would have had Libba in it.

I would take Bont and Petracca over Curnow

The underestimating of Libba is as predictable as it is unacceptable for people who earn a living supposedly watching the game. He is a top 25 player in the competition and was elite in 2022.

I disregard the opinions of unrepentant drunks and this is no exception.

I actually really rate the player but Chad Warner at 10 is exactly the sort of zero analysis zero stakes clickbait bullshit that shows why these rankings should be disregarded entirely.

    Re: Robbo's Top 50 - Preseason 2023

Isn't this his prediction/guess of what the top 50 will look like at the end of the year? So he's essentially predicting Warner to have a monster year, and Curnow to be the best player going around AFTER this season?

It'll be an interesting year as always. I'm not sure the gap between Naughton & Curnow will be that large at the end of the year. I predict Astro will be knocking on the top 10 door.

I like Curnow a lot. He's maybe more mobile than Naughton. But Naughton terrifies me. If he remains injury free I think he'll be the number 1 forward in the league this year.

So do I, been a massive fan of Curnow's for a number of years (even when he was out injured). But as far as key forwards go, Jeremy Cameron has him covered, and I despise Cameron and the dirty club he plays for. To be honest, Cameron has Naughts covered as well as of today (that might change and soon).

Exactly. I'm not sure why people get so outraged. It's one blokes prediction, which is neither right nor wrong at this stage. It is also likely he deliberately constructs the list to include some controversial selections to generate clicks/paper purchases and debate.
