    Comments

Another effort where The Dogs were in the game but just couldn’t nail the big moments.
Voter participation again subdued and dominated by Tom Liberatore (84 of possible 88) from Caleb Daniel (43) just ahead of Bontempelli (39) and Treloar (32). Jack Macrae (14) headed the rest from Jamarra Ugle-Hagan (4) Bailey Williams (3) and Cody Weightman with a single vote.

Tuesday evenings around 8.00pm will be the cut off time to cast your votes after a game....then soon after the results will be up on this thread.

Round 14 - Western Bulldogs back on the winners list over North Melbourne

    Marmo

    4 – Cody Weightman
    3 – Marcus Bontempelli
    2 - Adam Treloar
    1 – Tom Liberatore

    Comments

Back as a winner but the margin did not reflect the dominance in general play.
Big debate on the relative merits of the outstanding players on the day, but the Woofer collective referendum went with the goalkicker.
Cody Weightman (87 of possible 96) got the nod ahead of Bontempelli (82) withb strong polling from Treloar (52) in third position. The minor vote goes to Tom Liberatore (10), from English (9) and Bailey Dale (8). The other vote getter was Bailey Williams (2).

    Marmo Leaderboard

    25 - Marcus Bontempelli

Here is the tally Board after our Round 16 game against Fremantle

Tuesday evenings around 8.00pm will be the cut off time to cast your votes after a game....then soon after the results will be up on this thread.

Round 16 - Western Bulldogs resist a 4th quarter challenge to defeat Fremantle

    Marmo

    4 – Jamarra Ugle-Hagan
    3 – Marcus Bontempelli
    2 - Tom Liberatore
    1 – Bailey Dale

    Comments

An excellent victory with a strong team contribution.

Top votes to Jamarra Ugle-Hagan (83 of possible 96) in a performance that has us all excited as he continues his development. Another great captains game had Bontempelli (63) as next best from the reliable Tom Liberatore (44). A close tussle for the minor vote with Bailey Dale (19) outpolling Treloar (16). Caleb Daniel (7) headed the rest with Jack Macrae and Rhylee West (each 3) from Alex Keath (2). A good effort from West to have such an important impact with less than 25% game time.

    Marmo Leaderboard

    28 - Marcus Bontempelli
    22- Tim English,
    18.5 – Tom Liberatore
    14 - Caleb Daniel
    12 - Adam Treloar
    9 – Bailey Smith

    Bont consolidates his lead.

Here is the tally Board after our Round 17 game against Collingwood

Tuesday evenings around 8.00pm will be the cut off time to cast your votes after a game....then soon after the results will be up on this thread.

Round 17 - Western Bulldogs defeated by Collingwood

    Marmo

    4 – Caleb Daniel
    3 – Jamarra Ugle-Hagan
    2 – Aaron Naughton
    1 – Cody Weightman

    Comments

A tough night where a failure to take chances coupled with a lapse from late in the second let victory slip away. Good enough to take on anyone but not able to maintain the effort.
Unanimous choice for Caleb Daniel (88 of possible 88) from our 3 main forwards led by Jamarra Ugle-Hagan (57), Aaron Naughton (40) and Cody Weightman (24). Bailey Dale (6) led the rest from a courageous Ryan Gardner (3) with Bontempelli and Ed Richards each receiving a single vote.

    Marmo Leaderboard

    28 - Marcus Bontempelli
    22- Tim English,
    18.5 – Tom Liberatore
    18 - Caleb Daniel
    12 - Adam Treloar
    10 – Jamarra Ugle-Hagan

Daniel moves to a position to challenge, while Jamarra achieves a first ever top 6 position on the leaderboard.

Apologies for the late update as the Thursday follow up game left me short on time.

Tuesday evenings around 8.00pm will be the cut off time to cast your votes after a game....then soon after the results will be up on this thread.

Round 18 - Western Bulldogs lose to Sydney on the last goal of the game

    Marmo

    4 – Marcus Bontempelli
    3 – Aaron Naughton
    2 – Tom Liberatore
    1 – Tim English

    Comments

Another disappointing result and again a failure to take chances led to the defeat along with inconsistency through the game.
A light contribution from WOOFers and the lowest player number to feature since I have been doing the tally. Top position to Bontempelli (46 of a possible 64) narrowly from Naughton (45). Next best was Liberatore (27) just shading English (24) with Richards (18) the only other vote scorer.

    Marmo Leaderboard

    32 - Marcus Bontempelli
    23- Tim English,
    20.5 – Tom Liberatore
    18 - Caleb Daniel

    1 – Adam Treloar

    Comments

Back on the winners list as we despatched the challenge from Essendope.
A strong contribution from WOOFers with a tight tussle for BOG.
Bontempelli (96 of a possible 108) narrowly got the nod from Liberatore (93). Third position to Caleb Daniel (30) narrowly ahead of Treloar(26). Bailey Smith (17) returned to form but missed a podium position. Ugle-Hagan (6) continued his good form. Others to poll were Anthony Scott and Tim English with a single vote each.

Have you ever considered presenting it to the player?

Like getting a trophy, maybe a photo?

It's the most prestigious award going surely!

Would have been interesting over the years to compare it with the club's B & F award.

Round 20 - Western Bulldogs succumb from a strong position losing to GWS

    Marmo

    4 – Bailey Dale
    3 – Adam Treloar
    2 – Tom Liberatore
    1 – Tim English

    Comments

An extremely disappointing outcome after a promising first half.
The disappointment clearly etched onto WOOFers who struggled to award votes and resulting in the lowest turnout EVER.
Clearcut best was adjudged to be Bailey Dale (50 of a possible 52) from Treloar(34), Liberatore (26) and Tim English (19). This was also the smallest number of players featuring in the voting with only a single vote for Jack Macrae being awarded outside the top 4.

    25.5 – Tom Liberatore

    Comments

What an exciting game for Bulldog Fans. A brilliant first quarter to establish a strong lead and then maintained the ascendancy.
Strong contributions across the team and WOOFers found it much easier to award votes

Others to poll were Tim English and Caleb Daniel (both 5), the returning Liam Jones (3) and a first time for Rory Lobb (1).
