    Re: Early Trade Rumours 2023

    This is great news.

It shouldn't cost a lot, but hopefully he can get his body right and build a career. We've needed a mid-sized defender to play on the likes of that Beavis and Butthead love child.
    TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

I'd think a 3rd to 4th rounder should do it.

What would we realistically get for Sweet? It may end up being Sweet for Coffield.

Ah screw it. I'm jumping on early. He's now known as Coff to me. Sweet for Coff.

    Re: Early Trade Rumours 2023

I’m struggling to pick what our offer is. Maybe a F3.

We are still way short of points if Croft nominated us. So no spare this year.
    If we are trading a F1 we need to keep a F2, F3 & F4.
If GCS are giving us back a F3 per media, then we can trade a F3. Or if somebody wanted to trade our Pick 70 (won’t have points after FA compo is done) for a F4. We could offer a F4.
Easier, if Saints wanted Pick 70 than that. And I’d entertain a DP trade on Pick 36 with them if they could net us about 150 extra points.

So then Coffield and 150 points extra (2 x 3rds) - Pick 36 & 70. Saints then maybe try Pick 36 for Henry. Which is fair to me. So could be a win-win-win scenario.

Nick Haynes might be as good as free and will have part of his salary covered by GWS if we want a second defender (to Coffield) to replace TOB, Bruce & Croz.

Had a good season. But 32 next year. But takes the pressure off second year players Buss & JOD & Coffield (no games in two years) being the main improvement down back.

I like Coffield as we have discussed, outside of his body holding up my one concern is that he is a tad too nice if you get my drift.

I still think he is worth the risk that's for sure.

Hope he meets with us if we are determined to part with our F1.

    Looking for a fresh start.
Has not played AFL for the last 2 seasons? WTF?

He obviously has some talent so worth 3rd or 4th rounder. I suppose one could argue that Schache had talent as well but sometimes you have just got to take a calculated risk. Look at it this way he is a better prospect than those we have delisted.

So do Saints fans. They’ll have neither.

His probably behind a few players in the backline. So its a credit to the saints recruting they got competition for spots

He may need to find a spot in the midfield there , but his durability has limited hus onfield prescence.
