Heh. There's an overbearing feeling of a need for a major change catalyst down at WO. We can't seem to change without one forced on us.

Anything less than Gryan 'Messi' Miers coming to the Dogs I'm tearing up my membership.
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

    Re: Early Trade Rumours 2023

Belief is so low with our fans that I think if a player like James Jordon selected us our fans would say 'well he mustn't be any good' and when he didn't select us the vibe is 'another guy we can't land'. Idk if we rate Sweet. Khamis et al, I think it's more that our fans think if we aren't selecting them, it's because our MC/Bevo have no idea and they must be good.

Let me say, if that above vibe is accurate, totally get it.

Smith alone is worth 2 firsts id say. Maybe that pick 7 and a future first.
So we could have 4,7, future first coming in.
Smith, 10,17 future first going out? I have nfi.

    It all sounds bad.

No use getting stressed over something that hasn't even happened. As Josie says, Power is no DH and there is alot to play out.

Journalists largely guess, especially this far out from the trade period.

It would be sickly amusing if we were the only club to ever get bent over by GC in a trade though.

We don't even need to trade with them! We'd be electing to get bent over.

Im sure we'll all laugh about this trade next season when our F1 is a top 5 pick anyway.

Why worry about something that is pure speculation. Let’s just see what pans out and what the end result is. There are definitely pieces of information missing from what is being reported. No way we give up 3 x first round picks for the upgrade to pick 4.

Yes we can on trade pick four for a player during the trade period. We can also trade pick four for other picks during the trade period and during draft night. I think there is also a window post trade period and pre draft night picks can be traded.

I’m almost of a view we just keep our draft hand, play Croft where he lands and get the best available with whatever pick we have (either before or after) Croft.

Can’t wait to fast forward to all of the trade and draft period being done to reassess where we are actually at.
Have you heard Butters wants to come to the Dogs?

This is a good play especially if we think he will get past our first pick.
Using pick 17 (after it slides) on Croft might let us take a pick or two at the back end of the draft.

Exactly. No point worrying about stuff that you can't change.

Power has done great work in the past. I can't see that changing any time soon
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.
