Re: Bankers & Anchors: Rnd 11, 2023 vs Gold Coast

    Bankers:
-L Jones is putting together the best season from a Bulldogs key back since Brian Lake. Not only stopped King but his intercept game and disposal were excellent.

-Marra left goals out there. He felt 'on' very early and we need to fine a way to channel that more.

-Really liked Macrae's game. Hard-working, honest performance.

    Anchors:
-I'd love to see Naughton's 1v1 win percentage this year, because I think it's well down. Ballard reminded me of the job Buckley did against him for GWS, outside of the 5-minute spurt where Naughton won the game. I know Naughton's kicking goals consistently, but he really needs to start clunking more of the ball.

-O'Brien took 2 steps backwards last night. Don't think he can retain his spot after that performance.

-Weightman got involved late but I think he's really struggling with this forward mix and was invisible in the first half. I think there's also a little bit of selfishness growing in that forward line (Naughton's snap, Weightman's snap on his left, Arty burned a few in the middle, Baker has been guilty of it) that really needs to be nipped in the bud.

He pushes it a bit usually but I am prepared to forgive him for the soccer style moves where he forces the foul or makes sure the contact is seen, but his dive to win that late free was pretty egregious. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a better camera angle to make a true assessment but the behind the goals footage makes it look pretty bad from Cody.
Agreed. Totally get why opposition supporters hate him.
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

100% agree with you on Weightman. He needs to get that crap out of his game. From now on he will be treated like Ginnivan and deserves to be. He stopped playing for frees when he started playing good football but the last few weeks he has continuously ducked/dived and flopped. It is embarrassing.

Weightman actually needs a spell in the 2s but unfortunately we've got no one who can replace him.
