Lots of Pies fans not happy. They have a membership that is supposed to guarantee a GF ticket, but they have missed.
Too many tickets are allocated to corporates.

Collingwood unable to count properly, sounds like a ready made joke.

How is it possible that they've had a guaranteed GF seat yet missed out? Did the AFL or the club get the allocations wrong?

Nah, subject to accepting standing room as an option or not. From memory was that way in 2016.

Yes that is correct. Some chose not tpo accept the standing room option.
Ticketek fights back:
Ticketek wants to assure all Collingwood members that the Ballot process for the AFL Grand Final ran as planned and as per the instruction from the AFL, Collingwood Football Club and the @MCG
without issue. The Ballot results will be published at 9am (AEST) Monday 25 September.

Surely that is a Collingwood problem.
They would have known how many guaranteed tickets for members were available.
If they oversold them memberships guaranteeing those seats, it is not the fault of anyone else.
If it is members thinking they had an automatic entitlement because they are members, that is just on them.
No club gets tickets for all their members in a GF.

So is now what all the Fitzroy supporters come out claiming they’ve stuck far the entire time?

Re: 2023 AFL Finals Series
My brother is a Pies member Priority 1 and got a ticket in the nosebleeds Q8 Row DD. He is just happy to be going because many supporters miss out.
My ticket in 2016 when we made was Q54 Row D which was really good being near the front on Level 4.
