2024 Membership Thread

I find membership numbers to be extremely disingenuous AFL wide, to the point where I'd welcome an AFL mandated direction where clubs can only disclose memberships of 3 games and above. No $1 memberships, no pet memberships, nothing to skew the numbers and make everything look rosy when they may not be. This desire to be reaching record numbers every year is ridiculous and not indicative of the clubs true growth. I understand that many of these memberships are gateways to full memberships, but it is not a true reflection of our actual growth over the years, which will have been respectable anyway without the fluffing of figures.

Struggled with sponsors as well. They need an encouraging season from both a membership and sponsorship perspective.

The Lions' total doesn't seem any more inflated than ours.
