    Legends to Honour Draftees

CLUB greats will present draftees with their jumpers on the opening night of this year's AFL Draft after the League pushed for more former players to be involved in the night.

"the AFL has written to clubs encouraging them to use a former great to have the honour of handing over the jumper to the new addition for the opening night of the draft".

Has to be TwoDog's favourite Ben Harrison.

If he is unavailable, then Daniel Bandy or Kingsley Hunter.

This is such a great initiative by the AFEL, I'm going to cancel all my plans and watch the draft, particularly on the first night and then go and bate over how amazing it was to see club legends honouring draftees.

Have you created your 2023 Draft advent calendar in preparation for the countdown to draft night?

I think we are ok to pass. Old men handing over jumpers to honour boys can cost over $5M.

It?s not as outrageously dumb as announcing the indigenous-multicultural game when the Hawthorn investigation was on and then shelving it now. This is just hardcore dumb.

    Robert Harvey honouring Billings
    Barassi honouring Watts
    Wynd honouring Christian Howard
    Carey honouring JHF
Someone from GWS honouring Tom Boyd
    Skilton honouring Elijah Taylor

Can?t see the latter three types blowing up as PR disasters at all?

My lead up celebrations are going to be way filthier than that.
