Curious Vred. We make a preliminary and finish 4th but Grant steps down. What made you predict he'd step down despite a successful season?

Think it’s more of a personal hope than anything. I blame a lot of our 2022/2023 failings on bad leadership and I personally think Grant is the lynch pin for a lot of it, based half on gut feel and half on information that’s been pass my desk.

There's still the review findings to come as well which could have a big say outside of on field performance

Don't think so. Pretty sure the internal one finished and the external one wasn't announced with a timeframe. Doubt we hear anything until they decide it's done and choose to share something with us

Re: Season 2024 Predictions
Bolter : Croft (not bolting into cemented best 22 but playing more AFL than expected)
Surprise : We make top 4, beat the entire top 8, lose against all of the bottom 4

Finish : 4th
Others : Buku is given 5 games at the start of the year and either cememnts a best 22 role or leaves end of year. This being a promise made to get him to re sign. Not inside info though we obviously must have made him think he'd have opportunities this year to get him to stick around as there were other clubs willing to take him.
Big Call : Barry to fly off the shelves. Marra the only of the big 3 uncontacted to stay but we end up better off for it

Re: Season 2024 Predictions
Liking this thread - just like Fantasy Football....

Anyone can support a team that is winning, it takes no courage. But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you, that takes a lot of courage, so lets always be behind our boys and girls in red, white and blue.
