The Moment: Rnd 1, 2024 vs Melbourne Demons
The moment, the best, most courageous moment that caught your eye in today's game against Essendon. Was it the moment that told you 'we've got this' or 'we lost this one right here'? Or was it the moment that you went 'wow....that is crazy courage'
Or was it a collection of moments that you thought 'oh dear that's sure to produce a flood of WOOF melts on par with GG's post GF loss..

For me McNeil's fumble in the 3rd. That was our last throw of the dice realistically.

Same here that period killed the game and we were just chasing our tails after that.

Ben Brown getting his 500th career free kick for looking like he’s only on the field because he won a fan competition fresh off Gawn getting a free 100m off the ball for no reason for me.

The McNeil attempted centering of the footy. Intercept and goal.

The McNeil fumble ended the game. The Richards fumble that followed immediately after (well, Treloar came in and cleaned up McNeil's mess and gave it to Richards!) confirmed it was over...
I get there has to be selection integrity based on performances but I did think we pulled the wrong reigns in selection.
- McNeil, Vanders and Gallagher ahead of Daniel.
- Khamis on Brown.
- Gallagher on Windsor.
They (Melbourne) had a game under their belts so it wasn't really a fair fight going in but I don't think we helped ourselves.
What should I tell her? She's going to ask.

McNeil fumble which then led to the Salem two contested hard balls in a row, where he was harder than VDM and Caleb. He wanted it more. It happened right in front of me. Which led to the Trac goal and four goals down. That was the game.

I always remember that game in 2020 we thought VDM would be an AFL quality player after his desperate efforts late in a game to close it out. Think it was against GC on a greasy night. Salem is a very good player but VDM should be giving a much better contest in situations like that or else why is he there?

What about Libba deciding not to go with Petracca on that very play? Or the time when we were a couple up in the first and as the CB contest was clearly looking negative for us, unlikely to be levelled, he went offensive and they just ran it out?
I love Libba but he gets a free pass too much of the time. He needs to read the game better and apply his effort accordingly at times.

Libba was poor on a few occasions in that respect. Tossed to the wrong side of the contest and gave up on the chase.

I was dissapointed with Libba today. Got a fair bit of it however his defensive efforts were poor.

Only one tackle from someone who normally sets the standard when it comes to this was disspapointing.

How can you play inside all day and have one tackle, when sometimes you get ten and average over five a game?
