Re: Week one finals fixture
They said on channel 9 last night that we specifically requested not to play Friday night as we are hosting an AFLW match at Whitten Oval and the AFL ignored it despite being the recipient of a "home" final.

Why does my mind instantly go back to 2008?
At least there's no Buddy this time around.

Apparently Sydney didn't want Saturday afternoon either.
AFEL would have $$$ reasons for it. Part of it would be they'd want the only melbourne game on a Friday night.
Personally, I'm much happier with the Friday night fixture

Aside from Port in Port, this is the hardest match of the finals. So... let's just sort it early lads!

It's the best matchup I reckon. Getting Hok Tuah ball in a final is a great result. I'd not be feeling confident if I was them looking at Frost being their best tall defender up against Marra, Darcy, Naughton.

Re: Week one finals fixture
Please note. Western Bulldogs are saying AFL Club Support tickets go on sale on Wednesday. The email I just got from the AFL says Tuesday.

Re: Week one finals fixture
Hawthorn have had 3 training runs leading into finals. We've had the perfect preparation in R24, out in the elements against a top 4 team.
Finals are a completely different season and I think we will be 100% ready.
