Not 100% sure afterwards. A couple had heard of WOOF & 2 have joined to my knowledge.

Sits on the banks of the Yarra, and the mountains form a beautiful grandstand/theatre effect around the ground. Dramatic landscape for a ground.

He was coach at possibly our most important period as a club after the failed merger, very important historical figure for us.
One of my most embarrassing moments in footy came at Warburton, which is a lovely ground, with of course a nice slope to it, like many YVMDFL grounds. It also had and possibly still has goal posts which are the size of telephone poles. Deep in the last quarter with our team one point up I led from FF, the pass went over my head, I doubled back and with 2m on my opponent I ran onto the bouncing ball and from the top of the goal square could only stare directly at the giant post, which I of course duly slammed the ball into with my kick. Fortnately the siren went a couple of minutes later and we held on for a 2 point win so that I wasn't the villian of the day.
I saw Winmar play a game for Warby and to be honest he was rubbish. Couldn't believe it was the same guy.

As others have said again great work TCD. These interviews are a highlight of the site and done with a fan's perspective and insight. Wheels should always be involved with our club in some way.
    I remember damage. And escape.

Excellent interview. Terry Wheeler will always be thought of as a club great. A real favourite with the supporters during his playing days - highly respected - and he stood up in a crisis and played a huge role in our salvation.

He was an inspired choice as coach.

I loved Wheels. Is there a transcript of his speech or can you recall the content of his speech?
