    Dream Team or Super Coach?

Anyone interested in participating in a WOOF Dream Team or Super Coach competition?
If we can get a league or two of 16 teams it could be a bit of fun.

Just add your name to the thread in you want to have a crack.

They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

When do the teams open up on the AFL site?

What will be your strategies this year?

They normally open the dream team comp 2 weeks before the season. Super coach opens a week before that.

I normally try and search for rookies who's value will increase. Marc Murphy went from something line $60,000 to $240,000 before he got injured. The likes of Gibbs and Higgins (who didn't play much and will be cheap this year) will be good value selections.
Nathan Brown might also be a cheap option being injured for so long. Darcy and McDougall might also be worth looking at.

Rookies, 2nd year players who didn't play much but are likely to start playing this year and quality players coming back from injuries should all be considered along with the ball magnets.

I'm guessing these's going to be a lot of Footscray players selected.

Last season I had 4 or 5 Bulldog players. It isn't a good idea to have too many players from one team as a rule. One guy in a work competition loaded up on West Coast players last season and bombed out big time.

That's true. Last year I had about 4 or 5 Dogs players in my squad, mainly because I'm biased. Getting the younger players is also important, I think Pt Adelaide are going to feature quite heavily in my plans this year, and perhaps a few cheapish WC lads - like Hurn perhaps.

I'll still be lining up with a few Dogs players though, McDougall could be a great dream team pick up this year.

What about running a footy tipping competition as well ? Footytips has a good site and you can put your tips into the system in advance.

I see Supercoach is available now but I think the Dream team is better. Anyone else interested in this or the tipping competition?

The Dream team competition is up and running. Anyone else interested in joining a WOOF league. Footy tips can be started as well if we have enough interest,
