Re: Dirt-cheap Dog: Jason Akermanis willing to accept paycut

I think everyone has well and truly covered this topic to aplomb. I just wanted to add my two bobs worth and join in the plaudits for Acker.

    In one word 'Inspirational'.

Re: Dirt-cheap Dog: Jason Akermanis willing to accept paycut

Aker is a smart tactician and someone who loves to play the game on and off the field. He knows that to play on he had to accept a large cut in salary otherwise his hand and the club's would've been forced. I'm wrapt that he is desperate to play on with us next season and has supported the club's position. It has been all class how he's gone about it. However it's not a selfless act when he will still be earning ~200k, doing what he loves most, having a decent crack at another premiership and all its glory, continuing his exposure in the media and the value that goes along with that next year and beyond. With that I love Aker and can't wait to see him go around again for one last time in the RW&B.
