    Former Saint Andrew Lovett settles with St Kilda

    UPDATE 4.50pm: CONTROVERSIAL former AFL footballer Andrew Lovett has settled his legal dispute with St Kilda.

    The news comes as the former Bomber prepares to return to elite football.

    He has been named in the East Perth team to take on Peel Thunder in the WAFL this weekend, WAToday reports.

    The speedy forward moved from Essendon to St Kilda in the offseason, but was sacked by the Saints without playing a game after he was charged with rape.

    No i don't think anyone will give him another chance, has had many and does not learn which is a shame cause he can play if he put his mind to it

    It will all come down to how well he's playing. If he's on fire(he will have to be playing exceptional football) someone will take the chance(or at least put a lot of thought into it). I don't want him at the Dogs.

    Wow Im staggered by that, thought for sure he would be found guilty with all of the testimony involved from people at the house. Shows how hard it is to prosecute for rape.

    Can't see your logic, its not as if all the people were in the room? Surely its between the girl and Lovett.

    I honestly didn't think the case against him was strong enough for a guilty verdict.
