I thought the balance of the side was nearly right on the weekend from both a player type and 'experience' perspective'. Now that Stack is injured it will be interesting to see which way they go - experience with Aker or with a kid like Hooper.

Johnson and Hall being rested will throw this out 'a bit' but there really is only one spot up for grabs unless Ward is in danger of losing his spot to someone like Eagleton or another mid.
What should I tell her? She's going to ask.

As much as i would have liked to have seen Hooper make his debut against Carlton, with both Baz & Johnno out, i think Aker should play, he has had his time out, plus kicked 5 on the weekend.

One against the wind from 50m out they say.
Would head to Antarctica to get a spot in the side, says he.
If we can get him to just eat a slice of humble pie...sure we won't regret having him back in

Don't care what type of pie he has to eat, i just want a Premiership, and i agree when Hirdy says, we won't win it without him....

    Agree with all that.

I guess when Hahn is up and going they will try and find a spot for him, but I think our forwardline looked a little slow against Hawthorn and I doubt that we can play both Johnson & Hahn in the same team. If Hill lifts his game there is probably a spot for as well, but that's a big if.

Ward is struggling a little bit, but I guess that's to be expected after a long lay off. As we saw in last years finals series he can/ will offer us much more than an Eagleton and as such I hope they persevere with him.

Hahn has been listed as out for 2 weeks. (AFL Site)

This was also in the article:

'As with Richmond's Dustin Martin, Grant is ineligible to win the award after accepting a reprimand for an offence that carried more than 100 base points'.

I didn't realise, until reading that article, that Martin couldn't even get votes. I was expecting a Brownlow-like scenario, where he received the most votes but was ineligible.

He's been going alright, and looks a good selection for the Crows.

Hopefully we can see Grant rewarded over the coming weeks.

Mark Stevens over at the Herald Sun has cut up rough about Grant missing out again (via Twitter).

How strange was it that last weeks NAB Rising Star nominee was dropped by Adelaide this week. Another decision for Stevo to vent about.

Grant would have to be a big show this week, though he might have a bit of competition from Easton Wood.

In fairness Davis was replaced by a fairly good player in Bock.

A very good player, no doubt, but if he wasn't considered good enough by Adelaide to be in their 22 this week, what sort of criteria to the AFL use?

Yep, bizarre stuff with Davis going out - obviously they are not concerned about my supercoach team

Wood and Grant a chance this week - why not just have joint winners from the dpgs eh?
