    Re: Round 17 Discussion

If any side can win the Premiership from outside the top four, it's Hawthorn. They've pushed us twice, Geelong twice and should of defeated St. Kilda tonight.

The Premiership is wide open - I'd argue it has never, ever been this even. 5 sides can win it - that's not counting Fremantle.

Agreed. Blood in the streets if a final gets decided in that way.

Sadly it will happen one day.

    2 BIG game turners tonight:

1/ Kozi marks 40 metres out directly in front & the Saints runner runs through the mark. Reversal as a consequence.

2/ Rioli marks 30 metres out with a couple of minutes left & lead by 7 points. As he's about to kick it, he looks left as though distracted, but kicks the goal anyway. Only problem was the Hawks fluffed an interchange & the Saints get a free plus 50 which results ultimately in a mark to Riewoldt, who kicks a point.

I really enjoyed it as a contest as the margins at each break were Haw +1, StK +1, level & level. Doesn't get much tighter.
I had never heard that the Saints runner cannot run through the mark. Was it a mistake by the umpire, who thought it was a Hawks runner, or is that actually a rule?

    I'm sure Aker39 will know.

It sounds like Daniel Wells was just injured during the pregame warm up - the Etihad curse strikes again.

    Or the whistle!

Great game of 20/20 footy tonight between the Bombres and Norf. Absolute no defence played with North continually zoning off, thought Watson was immense and got them over the line.I think North might be done and dusted

Tipped the Bombers tonight, just didn't think they could keep losing.

LeCras loves kicking goals doesn't he. He was fantastic last week but this week he'd basically have a shot whenever he got the pill.

God I hope so. Though you never know they might wheel Archer out for another 300th game
