    Hall looks to '05 blueprint

    By Adam McNicol

FORWARD Barry Hall is confident the Western Bulldogs can emulate the 2005 efforts of his former club and roll St Kilda in a preliminary final.

Hall was a key part of the Sydney Swans team that scraped past Geelong in week two of the '05 finals series, then beat the Saints seven days later.

The Swans' unlikely charge didn't end there, as they broke a 72-year premiership drought with a four-point victory over West Coast in a famous grand final.

With a mounting injury toll, the Bulldogs will need to pull off a similar shock if they're to win this year's flag, but Hall is buoyant about their chances.

Glad to see Barry thanks the club for a second chance unlike someone else who claims he took a pay cut.

In a year where the other two 33 year old forwards got really old really quickly, how good has Barry been? Well deserved place in the All-Australian team.

Don't even need to read the article, because I LOVE BARRY HALL

Agree with him though, anything is possible in these finals.

Bazza has been sensational. Was looking through his season in stats the other day. Really terrific, consistent return from a key forward. Hopefully he can maintain that standard - or say, 90% of that standard next year.

from a club perspective - he just seems such a good bloke and team man.

Best Draft of season 2010. Who else has paid such dividends? Too old to be captain?

Proved all enemy supporters wrong that he would be reported and out for season. What a recruiting coup
