It has been reported that both players are a chance to return.
Morris is running and could be back for the Prelim.
Cooney an outside chance if we make the Grand Final.
Finally some cause for hope...

Out of the two I'd say Morris is the only one who could possibly return. The nature of Cooneys injury will effect his explosiveness and the likelihood of reinjury is high. Dales injury on th other hand depending on location and the stability of the fracture could play (remember he played with a broken leg). However if it is at a vertebral level it is very difficult to stabilize sufficiently in order to enhance healing.
We can hope but let's get over this week first.
If its reported in the media, perhaps post a link & place it in the Dog's Day Forum.
85, 92, 97, 98, 08, 09, 10... Break the curse!
Morris was running sprints at about 3/4 pace did about 12 of them
I slipped on my arse while walking down the stairs at my house in socks and at the time I was holding my moronic cat that thinks it is a dog so was unable to use my hands to break my fall. I think I bruised my coccyx but played soccer the next day and sure enough landed on it very early on.
The next two weeks were undesirable. It taught me a very valuable lesson, never mess around with anything when it is spine/back related. Would be very suprised if they were to risk him if there is an existing fracture.

Morris is likely to play this week, though we won't know for certain until training on Tuesday.
Cooney is still considered to be an outside chance if we get through for the Grand Final. But the rumbling is that the medos are more optimistic.
Things are suddenly looking more ominous than a week ago...
Interesting.
We would certainly need Cooney to beat either Collingwood or Geelong. The Saints are a comparatively low scoring side, so if we were to scrape past someone I guess this is the match-up I would pick...
Still not feeling confident though.
What should I tell her? She's going to ask.
I thought Cooney's hammy was a 10 week injury? Someone was talking porky's then, Hammy's aren't a week by week basis type injury, if it's a bad one, no way known he'd be back.
Brian Lake said on Fox Sports News yesterday that Dale Morris is a 70% chance of playing this weekend, at this stage.
