Ben Hudson's high hopes of flag

Glenn McFarlane and Matt Windley - Herald Sun - 5 December

WESTERN Bulldogs ruckman Ben Hudson hopes this week's training camp in New Zealand can help in the club's quest for a long-awaited Grand Final berth.

The Bulldogs have made the past three preliminary finals, but are desperate to go beyond the penultimate weekend of the season.

Hudson, who arrives in New Zealand tomorrow after staying in Melbourne to be with his wife after the recent birth of their son, admits there is still a great deal of work ahead of the club.

But the 31-year-old said he has been buoyed by the new recruits and hoped the trip to Queenstown would make the players an even tighter unit.

    Two questions ...
    1. Was his son born with a beard?
    2. How many more games does he need to play until we can envoke the father/son rule?

I'm glad they used a recent photo too. You know, with current Bulldogs like Andrejs Everitt. Ok I'm probably being picky.

Huddo has played 69 games for us, requires an additional 31.

Yeah it's definitely Easton. But it is a super beard pic, so you break even .

Haha what a shocker, how could I mistake the hair. Back to lurking!

31 Games. 2 more seasons is about right you would think. Awesome.

Great pic of Huddo. Can foresee it on a shirt.

There's some good pictures of the lads training in NZ from a link on the article.

Like the one with Andrew Hooper taking the bungee canyon swing with a garbage bin over his head.

Agree, it's a great picture of the beard (and Huddo looks okay as well). Would certainly look good on a tshirt! Also good news about his son - let's hope he makes it for the father/son rule.

I tried that on the bungee jump this year in NZ, it's like the scariest thing I've ever done. Was shaking non stop for like 2 hours.
