    Bulldogs dig in to middle-earth

Sam Edmund - Herald Sun - 10 December

Jumping-jack recruit Zephaniah Skinner was practising his giant leap
while enjoying the scenic backdrop of Queenstown's nearby mountain range.

IT MAY be the adventure capital of the world, but for the Western Bulldogs it has been far from your average Queenstown holiday.

Yes, there's been jet boating, the odd bungee jump, a couple of skydives and renditions of the haka.

But they have been brief exploits during the Dogs' arduous seven-day development and education program on New Zealand's South Island.

The players were welcomed on Monday with a seven-hour hike through remote terrain atop the snow-covered Remarkables mountain range.

    Great leap.

Wow! That's quite a leap. It looks the others walked up the mountain and Zephi just jumped over the bloody thing.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

It looks like he got photographed after jumping out of a plane without a parachute (he could do that, you know).

Apparently his party trick is to leap over the top of people's heads. So I'm guessing no trampoline.

I dont think they dragged a trampoline all the way up the mountain.
