Eagleton eager to take next step

NATHAN Eagleton knows a thing or two about falling just short of a premiership

    Carn' the Legs!

Going to be a tough year given the loss of quite a few of our better players. Hopefully Philips and Jonas don't get games at AFL level and Walker signs with GWS and get's dropped early in the season and kicks a 100 - then we might be a shot!

Looking forward to seeing how the Eagle goes, should be a pretty tight year in the SANFL with a few clubs who could be around the mark.

Good Luck to ya Nathan. I hope you have the ultimate success that eluded you and others at the Whitten oval

Eagle played very well yesterday. Had 20+ possessions in the first (and only) half (in a side getting flogged)

Have some good photos, will upload in a few days.

McMahon and Eagle spent the first quarter on each other, but didnt get witin 30 metres of each other once.

Sadly, Kieran McGuinness and Gavin Thomas were both rested from the game. Kym Koster is Glenelg's League Runner, so it was a Bulldogs reunion day!

Didnt get a possession for the first 10 minutes, then had about 10 in the next 10 minutes, then rested for the rest of the game.

Re: Eagleton eager to take next step

Well Eagleton and McMahon both have had disappointing seasons.

Eagleton in particular, how appears to not be able to handle a hard tag at all (being a potential match winner), and has been getting about 10 posessions a match for the last month or two and has also been reported a few times.

Jordy McMahon has racked up a gazillion soft possesions on the half back flank for Glenelg but half of them have gone straight to the other team. I did see him lay a tackle one week.

McMahon also took a week or two away from footy as well a month ago to sort something out.

Supporters of both teams have called for both to retire (or in McMahons case to get fully committed OR to retire)

McMahon's decline has been significant, hasn't it?

He was a decent player for us a few years ago.

Well not really, he was at Richmond a while remember, must be looking at 30 now, I think you find SA clubs tend to have a lot of kids and they are super enthusiastic and fast, no way could Jordan compete with that now.
He was over rated in my opinion anyway, all he had was speed never had natural ball skills or kicking skills he was recruited because he was fast and won races, one of those athletes clubs tried to turn into a footballer.
