    James Polkinghorne, Brisbane Lions, has been charged with a Level One striking offence against Callan Ward, Western Bulldogs, during the third quarter of the Round Two match between the Brisbane Lions and the Western Bulldogs, played at Etihad Stadium on Sunday April 3, 2011.

    In summary, he can accept a reprimand and 60 points towards his future record.

    After considering the video evidence and medical report lodged by the Western Bulldogs, the incident was assessed as negligent conduct (one point), low impact (one point) and high contact (two points). This is a total of four activation points, resulting in a classification of a Level One offence, drawing 80 demerit points and a reprimand. He has no existing good or bad record. An early plea reduces the penalty by 25 per cent to a reprimand and 60 points towards his future record.

    I thought the umpire clipped him when Sherman had his back turned to the umpire.
    There was definite contact though
