    Flashback Friday - Libba's last game (Rd 17 2002)

Have a look at a young Tom Libba with the old man. That was a very young team back in 2002 with some familar faces just starting in AFL.

Love Libba senior, all guts and determination.

A truly inspirational footballer. What i remember most about this game is prior to him getting up off the bench to come back on in the last quarter, a slow chant begun from bay 17 where i was sitting: 'liiiibbbb -baaaaaa, liiiiibbbb - baaaaa...' and so when he got up to run back on, the crowd just went off!

What a champion! He gave us plenty of good memories along his journey. I loved the Wynd Libba combination. It was fitting that he went out with a broken nose too, pure toughness.

Had a heart as big as Texas and gave his all whenever he ran out on the park! Loved watching him play
