Cooney Commits
BORN-AGAIN veteran Adam Cooney looks set to finish his AFL career a one-club player after turning his back on free agency to re-sign with the Western Bulldogs until the end of 2015.
The 2008 Brownlow medallist entered this season on the back of two injury-plagued years when right knee problems limited him to 27 games.
Watch Adam Cooney speak about his re-signing live from his press conference at 11:15am on westernbulldogs.com.au.
But after cutting-edge post-season treatment in Germany, Cooney, 27, has turned back the clock to hit a vein of form that rivals his peak 2008-10 years.
After playing 18 of the Bulldogs' 20 games to date, Cooney has averaged 25.3 possessions a game, compared to 25.5 in 2008, 26.8 in 2009 and 25.8 in 2010.

Great news, well done to all involved.
At the rate we're improving there's no reason Cooney couldn't have another crack at a flag with the Bulldogs.
Western Bulldogs: We exist to win premierships
Very happy to read this, great work Adam and Club.
Warms the cockles of my heart when players commit to the club. Mid year I was of the view that Cooney would be no loss. I've changed my tune over recent weeks.
Awesome news, made my day
Brilliant news, good stuff Coons.
Great news for the dogs and its supporters! Lets get him back to Germany quick smart!
my favourite player. one of the greatest comeback story!
Great way to the start the day. Awesome!!
Honestly I'm not surprised. The media have been trying to make more out of it than what it is. I heard it was pretty close a while back and the finer points needed to be worked out, in fact I believe even Macca said this in one of his press conferences which probably only got a blurb under another article about him going to Hawthorn.
Either way glad it's official and the jackals in the media can try and find something else to write about.
COOOOOOOOOOONNNS!!!!
Re-signed for two years, great stuff for all concerned
Brilliant News.
It's better to die on our feet than live on our knees.
