Re: ASADA issues show-cause notices to Essendon players
I thought Worksafe already completed a review of all clubs.
FFC: Established 1883

Re: ASADA issues show-cause notices to Essendon players
After reflecting on yesterday's announcement, this is a very sad day for the code - there are players on the list in 2012/13 that will never know what copious amounts of synthetic junk was injected into their bodies that may have significant health ramifications down the track. Essendon senior management, and the footy dept in particular, have acted shamefully as a collective group for placing their egos above the health and welfare of their players in ruthless pursuit of on-field success. The AFL have also acted shamefully in attempting to stage-manage an outcome that minimises any possible disruption to their corporate machine (of which EFC is a key component). The media by and large have acted shamefully with their propensity for cheer-leading, taking sides and not objectively reporting on the facts of the case in question. And ASADA have acted shamefully with their bumbling incompetence throughout the investigation and prior to this with their inept advice to the EFC on AOD.
There are no winners at all in this unmitigated mess. The media, the EFC, the AFL, the AFLPA, the tribunal, ASADA, everybody is trying to tie a neat little bow to the findings and move on, and most footy fans (us on 'woof' included) will do exactly that as we are suffering from fatigue with this issue. But ultimately the biggest losers are going to be the fans, and most of us don't even know it. The message here is simple - inject whatever amounts of junk into your players, put their health and welfare in jeopardy but don't keep any records and you will be fine. It follows a similar narrative to illicit drugs and also tanking - the conclusion of 'insufficient evidence' is easy to come to when you don't want to find anything. The machine rolls on, and us gullible fans will continue waste our hard-earned on a contrived, corrupt sport.
Yeah but the pies and chips are cheaper at the 'G

A committed Bombers supporter has taken his support for James Hird international.
Eagle eyed viewers of WrestleMania XXXI spotted the sign in the crowd at the California event.
Hird's cool aid followers are world wide. Ha ha

I think Before I Die is correct, as is Westdog54 - only one club (gotta be EFC) has Worksafe investigation still ongoing.
Unlike ASADA who had to prove a specific banned drug was injected and only had circumstantial evidence, Worksafe will more easily prove that EFC did not provide and maintain a safe and health work environment. I think EFC will be prosecuted by Worksafe in coming months and also guessing penalty will be on larger end of scale to set example i.e. in excess of $1M.

Makes sense, why not plead your clubs innocence at an event full of steroid injected wrestlers.
Wrestling is to sport as Hird is to innocent.

The AFL is as contrived and stage-managed as the WWE.

Of course threatening to sue is easy to do and is the defence of those with no defence.
It would be good for the truth if he did actually sue as that would bring the burden of truth on him.

What's he sueing them for? They didn't sack him.
He has made all these claims and not proven one.
If he came forward instead of refusing to talk we would know the truth.

Defamation of Character probably
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.
