Gorringe, the only word that does actually rhyme with Orange. GWS should recruit him now.

So the winner of The Recruit, who'd already played SANFL, is delisted after 12 months? That's about how real reality TV is.

I've secretly been hoping 'reality' TV would just die off. But it won't Ricky, it won't. Any contestant thinking the 15 milliseconds of fame will translate into success restaurants, footy careers, records sales are in for a big reality check. I'm surprised they've been plugging the second season before seeing if he got cut.

It doens't even need good contestants. As long as the shows stay cheap to make and do OK in the ratings (and despite the fact we're meant to be in the 'golden age' of television these shows still get more viewers than quality scripted content) they will never die.

Thank *!*!*!*! we have HBO, AMC and such in the US and the ABC and SBS here or it would just be non-stop reality shows and Big Bang Theory re-runs

I know Football Superstar or whatever the deal with the Victory was paid for entirely by product placement by Nutri Grain, so I'm assuming The Recruit would be constructed similarly. Any viewership/ad revenue is an irrelevant bonus.

I started a stupid trade requests thread a few years back. That's a winner, no point starting the thread. That's the winner.

That's hilarious. Straight swap would be about right, neither much chop.

Never got a game, but has done well at SANFL level. We need T&T to tell us more.
Just caught up with an avid Port Magpies watcher who really rates Shaw, was very surprised he was cut, but said he can be injury prone.
