Re: Injury List - 2017 Season
Did anyone see Mitch Wallis on level 1 at the back of the cheer squad last night? He said he's aiming for round 5-6 VFL.
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

Doc Larkins reckons he's out for up to 6 weeks

Just read the article and he is going by what he saw not the medical . He said could based on someone else. A long shot because he has to make some sort of statement.

Re: Injury List - 2017 Season
So Larkins says a footballer COULD miss up to 6 weeks. What about a mutant superhero like Morris?

Re: Injury List - 2017 Season
Many of Larkins diagnoses are from nothing more than watching a replay and guessing what might have happened. I'll be waiting for an informed diagnosis before I write Morris off for an extended period.

Moz fractured leg and will miss 6-8 weeks. When I first heard broken leg and the same leg as previously broken I feared the worst. It's a big blow but thank goodness it is not season or even career ending.
He's clearly getting soft in his old age - played through the 2009 finals series with a fractured leg
Get well soon Moz.

Yeah no cover for a guy like that. Our defence still struggles with him absent. Who's going to step up out of the shadows?

Yep, he is the only player on our list who has no genuine replacements. As a negating tall defender Zaine comes closest - he goes to the Moz role and Adams to come in as 2nd tall defender. It's not great but it will have to do for the next couple of months.

Even more need to whole 18 player team defence, not give up easy turnovers and deny opponents clean entries. Things we are capable of at close to our best.

Re: Injury List - 2017 Season
Unexpected bad news about Dickson.
No surgery required for Morris
Veteran defender Dale Morris will not require surgery on a fractured fibula sustained in the final minutes of the Western Bulldogs' win over Collingwood on Friday night.
Head Physiotherapist/Medical Services Manager Chris Bell said although surgery was not needed, Morris's rehabilitation will not be rushed.
"He will be managed conservatively, and at the moment we are thinking he will miss about eight weeks of football,” Bell said.
Meanwhile, forward Tory Dickson pulled up sore after the Bulldogs' VFL practice match against Collingwood.
"Tory developed some abdominal pain after the game on the weekend. We will manage this over the next three or four weeks, and reassess his return to play after this date."
There was better news for Josh Prudden, who has made a full recovery from the knee injury he suffered last year, with Bell telling westernbulldogs.com.au that Prudden would be available for VFL selection this weekend.
"He's been really good in the final stages of his rehabilitation, and it's great to have Josh back available."
Midfielder Mitch Wallis continues to track well, with a resumption of full training not far away.
"Mitch Wallis has been in a modified training model for the last couple of weeks and he's going to be resuming full training with the squad in the next two to three weeks.
Bell said he expected Wallis to be available for selection in the next five to six weeks.

Re: Injury List - 2017 Season
Abdominal pains out for three to four weeks minimum ?
I wonder what that is ?
Who was the other player we had kept getting them and kept missing weeks ?

Re: Injury List - 2017 Season
Torn pecs have cost us weeks at times but I don't remember torn abs doing so.
Major bummer, major hero Morris another broken leg! Aaargh.
At least he'll be back to help us for most of the season. Gives Adams a chance to assume responsibility.
