Agree, we once more have to deal with Patton, Cameron and Lobb when he is down there.

Lindsay Gilbee kicked a bag once. Who knows!

He of course did that finding the ball more times than Easton has in two games.......interesting stats sheet, Minson with four and Grant with three:

I don’t understand the timing of the Easton experiment given we’ve lost huge amounts of experience in the backline with the departure of Boyd and Morris’ injury..while at the same time we have a surplus of tall though rather lumbering forwards.

Give the ball to Gilbee within 50 in any sort of space and he'd more than likely kick it.
Can we say the same for Wood?

Re: New Dogs skipper ready to lead from the front
If our idea is to randomly bomb the ball forward, then Wood reading the play and floating through to take some marks, or at the least, nullify the opposition from having it their way and hurting us with turnover transition footy, may end up OK.
We won a flag with Cordy up front and Wood should be better at the role than Zaine was.

Cordy is a bit more physical, tackles better and Wood holds more marks. Fair to say Zaine is a more natural footballer than Easton. Wood brings more experience to the position though.
It's going to be an interesting first few weeks. We will have 3 players from outside the club (Trengove, Naughton and Crozier) find places in the team so we will be finding their best positions. The Wood to attack move has to be bedded down and a couple of guys who would be spending most of their time in the midfield will be playing forward mostly. We will have a fairly unsettled team for the first few weeks.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

With Adams going down, maybe Wood goes back again.

Possibly or Roberts or Young might come in.
