Re: Following our ex's...................
Geez tough crowd. It just shows, mentally he was fried here. Kind of alarming as well, from the outside looking in our support base for players seems kind of shaky. I mean Tom Boyd has hardly played a game since and some players just fell off the map completely. Something happened internally after 2016 and it wasn't just a hang over.

Re: Following our ex's...................
With Dahlhaus, we didn’t ultimately want him and he ultimately didn’t want us. The season was over by halfway last year and we were blooding kids. So I can forgive him saying he’d lost motivation. By late in the year he’d have picked up in the fact that we wanted him less than Geelong. Love’s a two way street, so play on, I say.
I guess he had a chance to move closer to home and was slightly seduced by Dangerfield’s overtures. Found it strange him saying he loved the club as a kid as I have it on very reliable authority that he was an Essendon supporter growing up.
Anyhooo, as I say, play on.

Re: Following our ex's...................
Luke's interview was pretty earnest, there's not much in it for us to be upset over. Clearly he was a mess, we got his best. Geelong might get similar for a short period of time, but he won't improve on his best there. It's a shame that he couldn't work through things here and that is probably where my interest in the story is.
He burnt some bridges in the way out, but apologised etc. My feelings are tepid.

I remember being on a boundry screaming for him to get up after one of his belly flops. Lying on his stomach ball watching. Frustrated the BJesus out of me!

I'd forgotten Higgins had played for us TBH.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Re: Following our ex's...................
I bear him no animosity. He gave his all and was a big contributor in 2016. His form fluctuated in the following two years and he did not improve his major deficiency - disposal - in that time. Wish him well but will be gutted if he plays well against us.

I love watching Aaron Naughton actually get on the park more than six times a year.

Maybe its time for Marcus to admit that it wasn't our medical team's fault that his refusal to shed muscle mass keeps leading his body to breaking down.

You're doing it tough when even AFEL.com is unsubtly riffing on your durability.
I LOLed recounting a former club profile on the 'Spec' from a couple of years back ...
As a footballer, how would you like to be remembered: "Reliable"

Not sure what you mean RS, he was very reliable.
You could rely on him being on the injury list 90% of the season.

Marcus Adams must be approaching Tom Williams and Adrian Campbell in terms of non-durability.

Brisbane have the best medical team going around (based on the past couple of years).
If they can't get him right, we've dodged a bullet.

To be fair to Campbell he did have one of the worst knee injurys in the history of the game. The medical team at Monash Medical Centre compared it to the damage a motorbike accident would cause when they bought him in.
