Port is going 'All-In'. Must be the pressure from Kochie to the football department: All or Bust in 2018.
They must think they are in the Premiership window and must go all the way next year but I cant see that happening.

I wonder what will happen with their list beyond 2018.
These are their Ins and the stats. Only Rockcliff and Motlop played near a full season in 2017 but their stats are not really standing out.

I only see 2 players in motlop and rocky improving their list. Motlop will allow R. Gray and wingard to play half-fwd/ midfield arch. Watts could be the chop out for Dixon and another tall marking option that's a BIG if he performs consistently
This has shades of voss "we are in premiership window " syndrome. Love it.
Thomas, classic diver
Trengrove his injuries have crueled his career.
Mackenzie can't get a game as gcs.... says it all. I know it sounds harsh but the game is Super Super competitive

Re: Other clubs trade activity
Don't mind the thinking from Port, time will tell whether it works. There's no stand out team at the moment as the last two years have shown and there are Premierships to be won.
Rockliff is a very good player, Motlop has plenty to offer, Watts is a little hit or miss but they have the talls, so a lead up fwd works well for them. Thomas/McKenzie/Trengove are more depth players but I think someone like McKenzie will be better in a stronger team where he can be more attacking.

Re: Other clubs trade activity
I agree div, Port figure they've enough top end talent, and believe they need depth contributors to make a top four journey.
All of Rockliff, Motlop and Watts can seriously play a role if in the right frame of mind, the rest are back up to contribute.

It's a shame he has fallen back so far. List spots are tight at many clubs but if he comes to play a team will land a good player.

Yeah I think he's good value for a rookie pick. You do wonder how much some of those Essendon players played out of their skin whilst juiced up. I think we only saw the best of Crameri in the second half of his first year with us. Two years out of the game with potential hip problems might be worth the punt for some.

Re: Other clubs trade activity
Still the most fascinating trade last year within the draft. Carlton wanted Liam Stocker at pick 19. So Carlton & Adelaide swapped the first rounders this year. Luckily for Carlton, Adelaide have started poorly too. Looking currently at exchanging pick 3 for pick 5. Although depending on the top end talent at the draft this year, it still might be a huge move for SOS.

I'm confident that SOS will still *!*!*!*! it up.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.
