His appendix had actually burst and had emergency surgery so may not have been keyhole.

Definitely burst appendix at best , my great nephew had the same thing early this year he has autism so it was kind of confusing as to what was wrong with him, his burst and he ended up out for 3 weeks . A lot of pain and a lot of drugs, it definitely got in his system.
He is 18 plays country footy.
Same happened to me when I was 16 but back in the 70s it was 8 weeks I missed.

Re: Injury List - 2019
Yep he had a burst appendix. Very serious when it's burst and if not diagnosed in time in and can be fatal.
My son also had a burst appendix and was in hospital for a week. No key hole surgery if it's burst from what I know because they have to clean out infection.
They've done studies you know, 60% of the time, it works every time!

Don’t see any reason Jong or English wouldn’t play this week unless they are worse than they are saying.

Morris targets post-bye return
The Western Bulldogs remain optimistic that Dale Morris will return to football in the weeks following the bye, after making positive progress in his return from an ACL injury.
Completing an 11-kilometre running session, Morris is back into full speed running, while tracking well throughout sprinting drills.
Medical services manager, Chris Bell, said Morris looks likely to return to full training over the next month.
“Over the next couple of weeks, we’re going to progress him back into some football drills and high-end agility,” Bell said.
“At this stage, we remain optimistic that Dale will make a return to full training in the weeks following the bye.”
Developing ruckman Tim English remains a test for Saturday’s clash with North Melbourne, after suffering from persistent soreness sustained in round seven against Richmond.
“Tim has had some persistent soreness from the heavy knocks he got in the Richmond game,” Bell said.
“This has meant that he’s missed a fair bit of training over the past few weeks. He has turned the corner and is back training, but we’ll make a call on Tim’s availability as the week progresses.”
Fergus Greene look likely to return via the VFL this weekend, after completing his rehab for an ankle injury sustained in the VFL round two match against Collingwood.
“In some great news, Fergus Greene has continued to kick some goals in his return from an ankle injury,” Bell said.
“He’s completed our end-stage rehab and comes back into full training this week. If he gets through full training as we expect, he’ll return to playing this weekend.”

Re: Injury List - 2019
Wonder if Tim will wear thigh protectors in future. My cousin told me it was Nankervis going up in the ruck kneeing Tim's thighs regularly.

Re: Injury List - 2019
We have been very lucky with injuries this year compared to other years, need to take advantage of this and win games , to be honest I think we have been playing back to our promise the last few weeks including Geelong.

Re: Injury List - 2019
Over the years I have read many times how poor our medical and recovery team are. Everyone is quiet this year so I want to say what a magnificent job they have done so far.
