If only Jamarra was coming to us this year

We all know the story it’s been going on for years , Bombers win the draft and Dodoro is a superstar recruiter blah blah blah but they haven’t done anything for 19 years !

Re: Proactive Poaching
As ledge rightly points out, it's good to see EFC positioning itself to be the real winners of 2019 when the national trade championships start again and they take home the chocolates for the 20th consecutive year.
Not sure Martin is what they need, but the longer they refuse to address their weaknesses the better as far as I'm concerned.
Nobody's looking for a puppeteer in today's wintry economic climate.

We played all of Schache, Naughton and Gowers at times.
Schache doesn't play like a genuine KPF, Bruce and Naughton do.
This could be the first time a Bulldogs forwardline even verges on the border of being 'too tall'.
I'm not sure that means we chase both Tippa and Jack Martin though.

It only works because Naughton is elite when it comes to applying defensive pressure. He is possibly the best forward for this that we have.

I'm happy with that. Hopefully that makes them pursuing Keath a bit harder (trade currency & salary cap), and I had my concerns on Langdon's disposal and hurt factor.
Two questions.
Who is Ed Langdon? and Who are Melbourne?????? is that a team?

Come to think of it Schache ain't bad at this either.
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

Sam Gray is seeking a new club. Plus Ryder & Amon possibly heading to St Kilda.

I have always loved Paddy Rider. Probably a bit too old for us now, but would have loved to have seen him in the red white and blue.

Re: Proactive Poaching
Not in the spirit of the thread....but I’m pretty happy with the list right now. I hope we use the extra cash to secure the talent we have already and add some ‘needs’ based players around them.
But having Bont, Naughton, Smith, English, Macrae and Dunks on the list will be hard to manage salary cap wise in future. Imagine if Schache and Dale become the forwards we are hoping they could be.

I think that’s almost consensus. Say it’s Keath (KPD), Martin (mid/fwd) & AMT (high pressure fwd) and invest several hundred thousand into re-signing players while grabbing priority access players next year is healthy situation for next year and well beyond.
