They will be rapt. It's been a fair while since anything interesting happened in Adelaide.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Well, all their players are leaving so there’s no shortage of news for them...

From The Hun:
WESTERN BULLDOGS
GONE: Tom Boyd, Liam Picken, Dale Morris (retired)
IN PLAY: List boss Sam Power re-signed the 16 players he wanted to, so the Dogs have little to offer. Nervous waits for Tory Dickson and Fletcher Roberts. Roarke Smith might earn a one-year new deal.
TARGETS: Tom Boyd handed back more than $2 million when he retired in May and part of that will be splashed on Saint Josh Bruce and Crow Alex Keath. If Power can turn picks 32, 43 and 49 into both, it would help protect next year’s draft points for Buddy Franklin-like academy star Jamarra Ugle-Hagan and father-son Ewan MacPherson. Get the feeling a line is out for another big fish.
DRAFT PICKS: 13, 32, 43, 49, 51, 87

Don't pick a trade-pick tease Sam, tell us who it is.

Re: Proactive Poaching
From Fox AFL
WESTERN BULLDOGS
Who they’re targeting
The Bulldogs’ big - in a literal sense - trade targets have pretty much already been sorted, with St Kilda’s Josh Bruce set to slot into Luke Beveridge’s forward line for 2020 and Adelaide’s Alex Keath to be up the other end. Hawthorn’s Isaac Smith has been linked to the Western Bulldogs for some time but he laughed off that idea earlier in the year. The Dogs can’t go too hard this year because it looks like they’re going to need draft points next year for academy and father-son bids.
Who might leave
There are only a couple of players left waiting to learn their futures at the club, and Tory Dickson and Fletcher Roberts could perhaps gain some interest from rivals later this year.
Draft picks
13, 32, 43, 48, 50, 86

Re: Proactive Poaching
From ESPN AFL
Western Bulldogs
List needs
1. Key forward
2. Goalkicking general forward
3. Key defender
Draft picks: 13, 32, 43, 48, 50, 86
Who should they target? Josh Bruce would be a suitable compliment to Aaron Naughton as a key forward after he nominated the Dogs last week.
As a goalkicking general forward, Ben Sokol, the WAFL's leading goalkicker and winner of the Simpson Medal for best on ground in the WAFL Grand Final, is a perfect fit as a strong marking medium forward.
Meanwhile Alex Keath has requested a trade to the Dogs and would improve the club's defence and add to their intercepting capabilities.

Re: Proactive Poaching
Assuming our 2nd pick -> Keath.
Can we cobble together a sub #26 pick for Bruce out of our 3rd rounders?
There will be at least three difficult trades: Daniher, Fantasia and Martin.
Blues will blow their first rounder on Papley and IIRC they don't have a 2019 second rounder?
If Silvagni ***** it up and Suns want a symbolic first rounder for Martin, would you do our Pick 13 for Martin and the Suns beginning of second round compo pick?
Then send that compo pick to Port for Howard and steak knives?
The fight is here; I need ammunition, not a ride.

I think you've asked this before, do you think we need to trade another KP defender?

Yes. Trengove seems out of favour, Lewis will take time and Cordy isn't a KPD.

Trengove dropped for the last 2 games equals out of favour?
I think the jury is out if that was even the right decision
I agree we need to add some depth in our key defensive stocks but trading for a 3rd tall player in one off season and using a combination of picks to get it completed seems excessive especially when we also need to add something for next years targets
I like Howard as a player but there might be some better options for us when you consider the bigger picture

Sub as in 25 and below? I challenge the notion we need to personally.
However I would trade 13 for Martin and 20ish for sure.
I don't know if that pick gets anyone Howard though. Considering his contract status Port may decide hang onto him.

Has anyone watched Jack Newnes closely? Sounds like St kilda don't want him free agent apparently.

Yep, he's looking for suitors.
Decent player but I'm not sure he's what we require
