OFFICIAL: Saints land Ryder and Howard
By Chris De Silva14:50
The Saints have finally made the move to get two of its five trade targets in through the door.
It's not the three-team deal that we originally anticipated, but this deal should lead the way for Brad Hill to be in Moorabbin very soon.
St Kilda sends picks 12, 18 and a future third-round pick to Port Adelaide in exchange for Paddy Ryder, Dougal Howard, pick 10 and a future fourth-round pick.
It's better to die on our feet than live on our knees.

Re: Confirmed Trades 2019
Seems Adelaide pulling their head out of their arses. After wanting a first rounder for Greenwood, they’ve taken future 3rd & 4th rounders.
Now for Keath....

Greenwood & Keath are the same age and have similar AFL career paths in that they were late comers. Greenwood playing more games. I think a third round pick this year is more valuable than a 3rd next year as it will be a highly compromised draft.

That future fourth rounder from Hawks for Patton has become currency. Moved to Crows for Jacobs then to Power for Frampton.

Re: Confirmed Trades 2019
Darcy Cameron has joined Collingwood who have also landed pick 62.
The Swans receive pick 56 in exchange
Is this someone we should have looked at?

Probably but in all likeliness we might prefer a more versatile type
Good deal for the Pies, they get a back-up ruck man for a slight downgrade of picks

Re: Confirmed Trades 2019
Jacobs, Cameron, Frampton, Ryder, Zac Smith and maybe Pittonet, Phillips etc.
The club said we were after ruck depth this trade period. A lot of rucks moving, none to us though..?

We have other priorities though. While I was hopeful we would address the need to add another ruck I don't think it was any stronger chance than say 40/60. You never know whats left though

I kind of feel we have been slightly blinkered by the Keath and Bruce deals; or more likely restricted due to them.
